With a fabulous mixture of ballet, modern dance and oriental elements, the unique dance theatre Night Of The Sultans performing Pandora’s Legend carries the audience off into the mythology of the shamans of Central Asia - to Mesopotamia, in the realm of the gods. Experience the Magic of 1001 Nights in a breathtaking dance show!
Young dancers, princesses and sultans, almost divine in their beauty, capture the giant stage.
With their virtuoso acrobatic blend of magic, they incite the audience to euphoric enthusiasm and standing ovations. Each dance is the unfolding of a legend, and embodies seemingly unlimited passion, the greatest ambition and explosive vitality. Night Of The Sultans performing Pandora’s Legend present a fantastic program lasting 90 minutes. The producer is Marcel Avram, one of the world's most renowned promoters.
The land between the Euphrates and Tigris is unmistakably the origin of dance, dancers and music in this Middle Eastern saga. A land like a rainbow, where the water is deep, the earth is hard, the mountains are high and the plains are boundless. Mesopotamia is the realm of the gods. The cosmopolitan arrangement of the work and the inspired fusion of the virtuoso movement sequences of a colossal armada of superb dancers with sounds in a modern arrangement use these traditional sources for a production of a level of quality not seen before. The saga of Pandora and Prometheus is told with a 70-member ensemble of outstanding actors and more than 500 costumes. Crowd scenes with war dances, acrobats and belly dancers dominate the life on stage. The good people defend themselves and fight against evil. Will they succeed in liberating Prometheus? Will the gods punish him? Will humanity defeat evil?
This perfect combination of dramatically polished direction with music and dance, immense energy and the indescribable aura of each and every artist, along with the hypnotic power of the oriental narration, fascinates the audience. Never before has a dance ensemble of this size danced such complexly virtuoso fine textures in such perfect synchronicity as Night Of The Sultans performing Pandora’s Legend. These are titanic appearances of skill, art and body.
